Blanchard Grinder
Location: Rockford, MI Pay: $19/hr Shift: 2nd Shift
Job Summary
We are looking for a Blanchard Grinder Operator to set up and operate a rotary surface grinding machine. In this role, you will grind steel plates to the correct size and finish by adjusting the machine and grinding wheels. This local company manufactures heavy equipment parts, dies, and molds.
Job Duties
  • Set up and operate a rotary Blanchard grinder
  • Adjust machine settings as needed
  • Select, change, and dress grinding wheels
  • Measure parts and make adjustments for accuracy
  • Follow work instructions and safety procedures
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of Blanchard grinding or related tool and die experience preferred (not required)
  • Ability to read measuring tools such as micrometers and scales
  • Basic understanding of machinery
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
