The Quality Technician is responsible for completing product quality checks to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of electrical systems worldwide.

Shift Details: Embrace a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, allowing you to have a stable work-life balance.

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by: 

  • Tests and inspects high-voltage bushings and associated products to prescribed standards and notes performance data.
  • Take charge of your workflow, managing test and inspection tasks independently to align with production timelines.
  • Perform detailed audits on various components and materials like transformer oil and epoxy resin, ensuring all parts meet our quality benchmarks.
  • Operates test equipment and connects circuits for the testing of bushings at high voltage.
  • Document all test data meticulously, create certification reports, and maintain our quality assurance databases with precision.
  • Troubleshoots test circuits when results are questionable.
  • Communicates repeated or significant quality issues for corrective actions.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers during tests, providing them with thorough documentation and insights.
  • Play a critical role in identifying and communicating quality issues, driving continuous improvement across our operations.
  • Must be willing to occasionally work overtime based on business need. 
  • All other duties assigned.
What will help you thrive in this role?
    • A solid foundation with a High School/GED equivalent (required); an Associate degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
    • Experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to apply them in analyzing component specifications and data.
    • Excellent written communication skills for clear reporting.
    • A knack for juggling multiple priorities and adapting to evolving production needs.
    • A commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards in all aspects of work.


    Physical Requirements: 
    This role is hands-on and will require you to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds with no assistance, and 50 pounds with assistance. It also requires normal vision abilities, the flexibility to work with various tools and equipment, and the ability to walk up and down stairs and ramps.
