GREENHOUSE PRODUCTION WORKER


Reports to: Various Team Leaders

JOB SUMMARY

Greenhouse Production Workers perform the hands-on daily work in the greenhouses,

including

plant care, harvesting, and maintenance tasks. These positions form the foundation of

our

production workforce and offer excellent opportunities for individuals with no prior

agriculture

experience to enter the greenhouse industry with comprehensive on-the-job training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Harvesting tomatoes according to quality standards

• Plant training (lowering plants and winding around support strings)

• Pruning and plant maintenance

• Leaf removal

• Placing and managing growing substrate bags

• General crop care activities

• Cleaning and maintaining greenhouse hygiene

• Following instructions from team leaders

• Reporting problems or quality issues

• Adhering to safety and food safety protocols

• Operating greenhouse carts and equipment safely

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• No prior experience required - comprehensive training provided

• Ability to read and follow basic instructions in English


• Physical fitness and stamina for greenhouse work

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks

• Attention to quality and detail

• Reliability and punctuality

• Willingness to learn new skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

• Reliable transportation to Early Branch location

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Any prior agricultural, greenhouse, or outdoor work experience

COMPENSATION WORKING CONDITIONS

• Full-time positions available (40 hours per week)• Part-time and seasonal positions

also available

• Greenhouse environment with variable temperatures (can be hot and humid)

• Early morning starts (typically 6:00-7:00 AM for most positions)

• Physical work requiring standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 40 lbs)

• Repetitive motions required for some tasks

• Some weekend work may be required during peak harvest seasons

• Comprehensive on-the-job training provided by experienced Dutch greenhouse

professionals

• Starting hourly rate: $14-16/hour based on shift and experience
