Job description

Description:
Stewart's Shops is eager to add a Dairy Production Supervisor to our Distribution Center and Manufacturing Plant located in Saratoga Springs, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to be a crucial part of our award-winning Dairy team!
Duties:
• Develop a work environment that promotes trust, teamwork, quality, and safety.
• Ensure that good manufacturing practices, facility hygiene and housekeeping are maintained.
• Write and implement S.O.P.s
• Conduct product and plant quality inspections and always be inspection ready.
• Coordinate and maintain ordering of all parts and products.
• Build teams through strategic hiring and consistent training.
• Manage performance through quarterly reviews (share agreements)
• Majority of the Supervisor's time will be spent on the floor (at least 60-70%.)
Requirements:
• Manufacturing experience and at least 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated and communicative.
• Safety conscious, trustworthy, and reliable.
• Open to delivering and receiving feedback on-floor and during share agreements.
• Learn and supervise all areas within the Dairy department.
• Mechanically inclined to implement preventive maintenance program.
• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Schedule & Pay:
• Full-time position available.
• Starting pay range is $27-36/hour, depending on experience.
• Schedule varies depending on production needs including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must be willing to fill in for vacations and call ins as needed.
