As a grass cutter, your job is to perform maintenance on the lawn and grounds of a client's building. This may involve maintaining previous landscaping, helping trim the edges of lawns, caring for a garden, managing turf, and using a lawn mower on flat or sloped areas. Grass cutters may focus exclusively on the grass on large properties, but in smaller work areas, this job may be a part of a grounds manager or general labor position. You may till and cultivate areas, using hand and power tools as needed, remove trash, repair fences and gates, paint exterior surfaces, and fertilize lawns.
