Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee all aspects of the Electrical Engineering Department
  • Review and understand customer project specifications
  • Develop scope of work for Electrical Engineers
  • Review and understand subcontractor proposals
  • Participate in Customer and subcontractor contract award negotiations
  • Review and approve electrical schematics, PLC logic and HMI graphics
  • Oversee Control panel fabrication
  • Oversee requisitions for purchased equipment
  • Review electrical load utility requirements
  • Review Building and Process equipment requirements
  • Review equipment interlock signals between subcontractors
  • Oversee Control panel fabrication and field installation schedules
  • Review IT manufacturing requirements, i.e. Plant-wide Fault monitoring, part tracking, etc.
  • Review and resolve electrical installation punch list
  • Oversee equipment commissioning activities
  • Participate with Customer equipment functionality validation and acceptance activities
  • Maintain continuous improvement journal
  • Create/modify company Electrical engineering standards
  • Maintain ISO/QOS company documentation requirements
  • Comply with all Quality Operating System and Environmental Management System requirements applicable to this position.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years experience
  • 10 years experience in paint process design and associated engineering calculations and electrical controls
  • Previous management experience
  • Understanding of sales, estimating, project management and manufacturing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
