Job description

Title: Production, Artist 

Location: Stamford, CT 

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt - On Site 

About the Role:  

The Production Artist supports the marketing and creative team by preparing, formatting, updating, and producing print and digital marketing assets for distribution across multiple channels. This role combines strong graphic design capabilities with high-level production skills to ensure all creative materials are accurate, brand compliant, technically sound, and ready for final output. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in managing large volumes of creative files while maintaining quality and consistency. This position is intended for an entry to mid-level design professional with a minimum of three years of production design experience in an agency, studio, or in-house marketing environment.This job is full time and in office, based in our Stamford, Connecticut office, five days a week. This is not a virtual or hybrid job.

What You'll Do: 

  • Prepare, update, and finalize production-ready artwork for print, digital, retail, packaging, environmental, and promotional applications.
  • Build and maintain accurate files using established brand standards, templates, and production specifications.
  • Perform file preparation tasks including image optimization, color correction, preflight checks, packaging, proofing, and output preparation.
  • Resize, version, and adapt creative assets for multiple formats, channels, and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with designers, copywriters, marketing managers, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain organized file structures, asset libraries, and version-control processes.
  • Review artwork for accuracy, consistency, grammar, layout integrity, and technical compliance before release.
  • Prepare files for printers, fabricators, media partners, and other production vendors.
  • Support campaign launches by producing final deliverables within established timelines.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and recommend efficient solutions while maintaining design intent.
  • Assist with quality assurance reviews and approval processes.
  • Stay current on design software, production techniques, and best practices.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional production graphic design experience in an agency, studio, or in-house marketing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  • Strong understanding of print production processes, digital asset preparation, typography, color management, and file specifications.
  • Experience preparing files for commercial printing and digital publication.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working within brand guidelines and maintaining brand consistency across multiple touchpoints.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Experience using project management tools
  • Experience and understanding of how AI works as a tool and can bring efficiencies to daily tasks

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in regulated industries (alcohol, cannabis, pharma, tobacco)
  • Familiarity with retail environments (Target-scale, Trader Joe's)
