What is Grand Sky?

Grand Sky is a commercial unmanned aerial systems (UAS) business and aviation park located at the Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota. It is dedicated to supporting the development, testing, and operation of drone technology for both government and private sector clients. Grand Sky offers infrastructure, facilities, and a secure environment for UAS companies to innovate and expand. The park also provides access to airspace and partnerships with leading aerospace organizations, making it a hub for UAS advancements.

What are some typical responsibilities and challenges when working at Grand Sky, a UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) business and aviation park?

At Grand Sky, professionals often engage in tasks like supporting UAS flight operations, maintaining compliance with FAA regulations, and collaborating with technology partners and governmental agencies. A common challenge is adapting to rapidly evolving drone technology and ensuring all activities meet strict safety and security standards. Team members typically work in interdisciplinary groups, requiring effective communication between pilots, engineers, and operations staff to ensure seamless project execution. The dynamic nature of the industry offers opportunities for learning and advancement, especially as the park continues to grow and attract new aerospace tenants.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Grand Sky UAV operator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a UAV Operator at Grand Sky, you need expertise in drone piloting, aeronautical regulations, and a background in aviation or related technical fields, often supported by a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. Familiarity with flight planning software, GIS systems, and specialized UAV platforms is typically required. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication skills set top operators apart. These competencies ensure safe, efficient, and compliant UAV operations in both commercial and research environments.

Job description

General (Conventional) CardiologistSky Lakes Cardiology | Klamath Falls, Oregon

Inherit a Mature Practice. Partner with an Exceptional Team. Live Your Best Life.

Sky Lakes Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Cardiologist to join our tight-knit team in beautiful Southern Oregon . This role is a "bread and butter" conventional cardiology position where you will inherit an existing patient panel from a retiring provider while having the autonomy to grow your own practice .

The Practice: Collaborative & Patient-First

Join a highly collegial group consisting of three Interventional Cardiologists and one General Cardiologist .  We pride ourselves on a "work hard/play hard" culture that deeply understands the necessity of work-life balance .

  •  Predictable Pacing: Seasoned providers average 10 patients per day in the clinic .

  •  Quality Time: We prioritize outcomes over volume with 60-minute new patient slots and 30-minute follow-ups .

  •  Sustainable Schedule: Full-time Monday–Friday schedule .  A typical week includes 3 clinic days, 1 procedure day, and 1 admin day .

  •  Modern Facilities: Practice in two Cath Labs—one has been recently updated, and the second is scheduled for a full renovation within the next 12–18 months .

  •  Equitable Call: 1:4 weekday and weekend rotation with Interventional backup always available .

  •  Procedures: Focus on Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Cardioversions, and interpretation of Stress Testing (nuclear and treadmill) .

Compensation & Premier Benefits
  •  Annual Salary: $550,000

  •  Productivity: Quarterly RVU-based bonuses

  •  Sign-On Bonus: $100,000 (distributed over 3 years)

  •  Time Away & CME: $4,000 annual allowance plus 5 dedicated CME PTO days

  •  Support: Full relocation assistance and a standard comprehensive benefits package

Qualification & Academic Opportunity
  •  Experience: Open to both experienced providers and 2026/2027 graduates

  •  Teaching: Opportunity to work with and mentor Family Medicine residents during their cardiology rotations

  •  Visa Support: We are proud to accept J-1 and H1-B candidates

As a not-for-profit, community-owned facility, our decisions aren’t made in a corporate boardroom—they’re made right here in Klamath Falls, with the needs of our neighbors at the center.

Clinical Excellence on a Grand Scale

Don't let the "rural" label fool you. We serve a massive 10,000-square-mile catchment area across South-Central Oregon and Northern California. To meet the needs of our 80,000 residents, we’ve committed to the highest standards of modern medicine:

  • Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital: Recognized nationally by The Chartis Group for excellence.

  • Award-Winning Specializations: Nationally recognized for stroke care and pulmonary disease treatment.

A Campus of Innovation

Our 176-bed acute-care facility is the hub of a specialized medical network designed to provide "big city" care with "small town" heart.

  • Sky Lakes Cancer Treatment Center: An award-winning destination for advanced oncology.

  • Center for Total Joint and Spine Care: A regional leader in orthopedic precision and recovery.

  • Cascades East Family Medicine Residency: As a premier teaching site, we are actively shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Living in Klamath Falls: The Sunny Side of the Cascades

Klamath Falls is the perfect "basecamp" for a family or an individual who thrives outdoors.

  • Nature at Your Doorstep: Less than an hour from Crater Lake National Park, with world-class hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and 300 days of sunshine.

  • Low Cost of Living: Realize your dream of homeownership and enjoy Oregon’s lack of sales tax.

  • A True Community: A charming city of 22,000 where you aren't just another provider—you're a neighbor.
