Essential Job Duties
The Department of English is accepting applications for the position of Lecturer on a full- time and/or part-time basis in areas such as Composition, Literature, Linguistics, Film Studies and Screenwriting, Creative Writing and Professional Writing for Summer 2025, Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
The Lecturer is responsible for coordinating, planning, preparing, delivering, and evaluating classroom instruction and related activities. Each Lecturer is expected to develop and maintain syllabi for their assigned classes.
Other Responsibilities
Candidates will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned by the department head.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Requires master's degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience. A terminal degree is required to teach courses at the graduate level.

  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent teaching
  • Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Special training or experience with online or blended/hybrid instruction is desirable.
  • Graduate coursework in writing pedagogy preferred.
