Position Summary
Do you enjoy helping prospective students explore their goals and identify the graduate program that can help them get there? Are you energized by relationship building, problem solving, and working collaboratively to grow enrollment? Roosevelt University, with campuses in downtown Chicago and Schaumburg, is seeking a Graduate Admission Counselor supporting the Heller College of Business. This role will support recruitment and enrollment across the College's graduate portfolio, including master's programs, the Executive Doctor of Business Administration, and graduate certificates, while building strong relationships with prospective students, faculty, program directors, and external partners.
This hybrid position is expected to work on the Chicago campus three days per week, with some flexibility based on recruitment and enrollment needs. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Assistant Director of Graduate Admission.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Guide prospective graduate business students through the application and enrollment process.
  • Meet with prospective students to assess academic eligibility, discuss program offerings and career outcomes, and provide information about the graduate student experience at Roosevelt.
  • Attend in-person and virtual events to recruit students.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for post-admission processes.
  • Collaborate with academic affairs, Financial Aid Services, Academic Advising, and other support offices to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Assistant Director of Graduate Admission.

The salary range for this position is $52,000-$54,000.

  • Understands and promotes the programs and services offered that enhance the value and mission of Roosevelt University.
  • Identifies, recruits, and admits prospective students in a designated market.
  • Manages recruitment for a portfolio of Heller College of Business graduate programs and develops relationships with corporate, professional, and community partners to grow the prospective student pipeline.
  • Monitors recruitment and enrollment activity for assigned programs and develops strategies to support program-specific enrollment goals
  • Creates new opportunities for information sessions and admissions events
  • Identifies and develops new recruitment opportunities, partnerships, events, and lead sources for assigned programs
  • Conducts outreach by email and phone with prospective students, corporate and professional partners, alumni, and other external organizations.
  • Participates and/or assists with on-campus recruitment events and visit opportunities, occasionally including the Schaumburg campus.
  • Participates in off-campus events and visit opportunities to meet and engage with prospective students.
  • Collects prospective student contact information, works to input leads into CRM.
