Essential Job Duties
The Department of Accounting is accepting applications for the position of Non-Tenure Track Faculty Lecturer (part-time). Non-Tenure Track Faculty positions are one-semester or one-year, with the possibility of renewal. Applications will remain on file for one year should openings arise in subsequent semesters.
Successful candidates will teach 1 to 3 courses for the BSA (Bachelor of Science in Accounting), MAC (Masters of Accounting) and/or MBA (Masters of Business Administration). Teaching is in one of the following areas: accounting information systems, auditing, business/data analytics, business law, financial accounting, intermediate accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and not for profit/government accounting.
Specific hiring needs for the upcoming academic year have yet to be determined.

  • Contributing member of the Department, College, and University.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Requires a master's degree and professional or teaching experience related to the teaching assignment that is significant in duration (e.g., 5 years) and responsibility level, and current at the hire date.
  • If an applicant does not have a master's degree, must have a bachelor's degree in a field related to the teaching assignment and the depth, duration, sophistication, and complexity of the professional or teaching experience must outweigh the lack of master's degree qualification.

  • A commitment to the success of students and programs at the University.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant professional certification (CPA for example) and experience teaching at the college, university or community college level.
  • The ability to teach in more than one area.
  • Experience teaching and developing online courses.
