Job description

Harry & David is looking for a student interested in a Inventory Planning Intern position for a summer internship in 2026. The program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students and is located in MEDFORD OREGON.
The Intern will working with the Inventory Planning team in projects related to food group fulfillment and storage planning and analytics projects along with ongoing reporting and visualization efforts.
Major responsibilities of the internship position are listed below. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.
Assist the planning team with the creation, testing, reporting, and training documentation of a replacement planning platform built on Sigma Computing. The successful candidate will have depth of knowledge in the BI application Sigma itself, or robust SQL coding as well as other best in class BI platforms to draw from. The work is going to take our existing end of life process and build it out in this new cloud-based system.
  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate or graduate program in the fields of Business, Merchandising, or comparable field required.
  • Must understand direct marketing, merchandising, and operations processes and roles.
  • Strong analytical and planning ability and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel required and experience using high-end planning and operating systems.
  • Proficient in using Sigma or similar BI tool a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively as part of a team on multiple projects
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with cross functional teams including operations, site leadership and IT.
