Cook (Breakfast 6am-10-30am& Evening4:30PM-10:30PM)


Position Summary

We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Cooks to join our Food & Beverage team. This role supports both breakfast service and evening dinner/bar service, ensuring all food is prepared to brand standards while delivering a high-quality guest experience.

The ideal candidate is organized, maintains strong cleanliness standards, and thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment.


Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Service
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Holiday Inn brand standards
  • Execute breakfast service (eggs, meats, potatoes, bakery items, etc.)
  • Execute evening dinner/bar menu items with consistency and quality
  • Ensure proper food presentation, portioning, and temperature control
  • Maintain readiness for both individual guests and group meal service
Kitchen Operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times
  • Follow all health department and food safety regulations
  • Properly store, label, and rotate food (FIFO)
  • Assist with daily prep and breakdown of kitchen operations
  • Ensure all equipment is used and maintained correctly
Inventory & Ordering Support
  • Assist with tracking food and supply levels
  • Support monthly inventory counts
  • Communicate shortages or ordering needs to management
Team & Communication
  • Work closely with Front Desk, Sales, and Management on group needs
  • Communicate clearly during shift changes to ensure smooth transitions
  • Support banquet setup and food preparation when needed

Shift Details
  • Breakfast Cook: Early morning shifts (typically 5:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
  • Evening Cook: Afternoon/evening shifts (typically 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
  • Weekend and holiday availability required

Qualifications
  • Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred (hotel experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
