Job Schedule: 9/80- employees work 9 out of 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

L3Harris has an opening for a Contracts Specialist within the Spectrum Superiority (S2) Sector with a focus on direct international commercial sales. This role requires effective oral and written communication skills and the individual will be responsible for interfacing with the internal and external customer. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to interpret and execute contractual documents (request for proposal, contract awards, modifications, etc.)
    • Ability to interpret contract structures and types (FFP, CPFF, CPAF, FPIF, T&M, etc.) and differentiate associated risk levels
    • Ability to review all assigned proposals and bids, identify and include beneficial terms and conditions (including terms of payment, ITAR, taxes and duties, international considerations, etc.)
    • Ability to negotiate and interpret business agreements (teaming agreements, non disclosure agreements, export license agreements, etc.)
  • Identify contract issues in program performance, offer solutions and implement those solutions as agreed upon by the team while exercising good judgement with minimal supervision
  • Maintain positive internal and external customer relationships based on professionalism, responsiveness and ethical conduct
  • Working understanding of FAR/DFARS, specifically FAR Part 12, commercial items
  • Understand and implement company policies and procedures

Essential Functions:

  • Working knowledge and understanding of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, etc. and/or equivalent government regulations
  • Must be skilled in the art of communication, analysis, negotiations, evaluation and presentations, including respectful and professional behavior demonstrated at all times.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a miminum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years prior related experience in the field of Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Law, Finance or other applicable field
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years related experience in the area of Contracts Administration/Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry and/or Federal Government/military
  • Juris Doctrate Degree
  • Practical knowledge of project/program management.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $79,000 - $147,000.
