Description

The Greenville University Baseball program is seeking applicants for the appointment of Graduate Assistant Coach. This appointment begins June 1, 2026. This Graduate Assistant will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the baseball program as well as secondary responsibilities assigned by the Athletic Director.


Compensation includes a stipend and a tuition waiver for a master's program at Greenville University.


To be eligible for the Graduate Assistant position, applicants must complete the graduate program application, receive provisional acceptance, and enroll in a Greenville University graduate program. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship as all Greenville University Graduate Programs are offered online only.


Greenville University is a NCAA Division III institution, located outside of St. Louis. Greenville University is an evangelical Christian liberal arts college associated with the Free Methodist Church, whose faculty and staff affirm a Statement of Faith.


Recruiting:

  • Help recruit between 5-7 quality athletes each year
  • Coordinate the recruiting database
  • Enter new recruits into database
  • Phone Calls
  • On campus visits -campus visits, lunch host
  • Off campus visits - home visits, high school visits, tournament visits

Retention

  • Help retain at least 85% of our athletes using the following methods: Study table or individual help for anyone below a cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Develop Relationships with athletes
  • Bible Study / Discipleship
  • Academic Counsel

Coaching

  • Coaching daily practices
  • Practice planning daily
  • Work with the Head Coach on daily tasks as assigned
  • Game Day management, including assist in setup, preparation, and cleanup for games
  • Assist in various office duties including travel planning and fundraising
