Summary

We are seeking a Construction Grading Specialist to join our experienced team at Paving Pros. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of various paving and construction projects. The construction grading specialist will be responsible for operating motor graders, bulldozers, excavators and skid steers being able to install and fine grade aggregate stone on new construction projects before we pave.
Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as motor graders, bulldozers, skid steers, excavators, compact rollers and water truck, safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of construction and paving projects.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times on the construction site.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
  • Review construction blueprints with the project manager and site superintendents.
Requirements

  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a grading construction environment.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.
  • Ability to fine grade to within 0.25" of specifications.
  • Ability to read blueprints a plus.
