Job Title: Dozer Operator – Residential & Commercial Development

Location: Multiple Locations

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Dozer Operator to join our team for residential and commercial site development projects. As a Dozer Operator at Valenti-Held, your primary responsibilities will include mass and finish grading, site drainage maintenance, and coordinating material placement. You’ll also assist in other tasks around the job site as needed.

At Valenti-Held, we invest in the latest equipment and GPS machine control technology to enhance the efficiency of our operations. While experience with GPS machine control is desirable, we provide training for those who want to learn. This role offers the opportunity to grow your skill set and advance within a stable, employee-owned company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mass & Finish Grading: Perform large-scale and finish grading to prepare sites for construction and development.
  • Site Drainage Maintenance: Maintain proper site drainage to ensure smooth operations and compliance with environmental standards.
  • Material Placement Coordination: Coordinate with the team to control lifts and efficiently place materials across the job site.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints and construction plans to guide grading and material placement processes.
  • Safety & Maintenance Checks: Conduct regular safety and maintenance walkarounds to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Machine Control: Operate heavy equipment with GPS machine control (training will be provided if necessary).

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of dozer operating experience preferred; however, we are willing to train qualified candidates.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Work Ethic: A strong desire to learn and grow professionally, with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical exam.
