Job description

Clear Grade Contracting LLC is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for grading, excavation, and underground utility projects throughout Georgia. We are looking for motivated operators who can work safely, stay productive, and understand how to operate equipment efficiently on active construction sites.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have real field experience operating equipment on grading and utility projects.

Equipment Experience Preferred

  • Excavators
  • Dozers
  • Skid Steers
  • Motor Graders
  • Rollers/Compactors
  • Loaders

Responsibilities

  • Perform rough grading and fine grading
  • Install storm drain, water, and sewer utilities
  • Read grade stakes, cut sheets, and basic plans
  • Operate GPS-equipped machinery (Trimble/Topcon experience preferred)
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
  • Work alongside pipe crews and grading crews
  • Maintain production goals while working safely
  • Assist with loading/unloading equipment and site preparation

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years heavy equipment operating experience preferred
  • Experience in heavy civil/site development required
  • Ability to operate equipment efficiently and safely
  • Experience around underground utilities and active job sites
  • Must show up on time and be dependable
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • CDL is a plus
  • GPS machine control experience is a plus
