Position Description
An Asphalt Distributor Operator is an hourly-rated skilled position that is capable of operating the asphalt distributor truck safely while applying the liquid asphalt to the roadway.
Position Requirements
The duties of this job require physical capabilities such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing of equipment steps. Employees must also be able to lift 30-50 lbs on a daily basis.
  • Hold a current CDL with Tanker endorsement.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Perform daily inspections of equipment
  • Perform daily checks of fluid levels
  • Monitor flow gauges, tachometer, and temperature gauges
  • Keep truck clean and serviced
  • Bolt on appropriate spray bar needed for job
  • Perform routine maintenance needed to ensure safe operating procedures.
  • Responsible for notifying supervisor if equipment needs to be repaired
  • Assist in daily job operations including labor and maintenance.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends when required
