Resumen del Puesto
El Capataz de Movimiento de Tierras y Nivelación es responsable de supervisar cuadrillas en campo y coordinar las operaciones diarias de movimiento de tierras, excavación, nivelación, instalación de utilidades y desarrollo de sitios en proyectos de construcción civil pesada. El capataz garantiza que el trabajo se realice de manera segura, eficiente y conforme a los planos del proyecto, especificaciones, cronogramas y requisitos de calidad.
Funciones y Responsabilidades Esenciales

  • Planear, coordinar y supervisar las operaciones diarias de movimiento de tierras y nivelación.
  • Dirigir operadores, obreros, conductores de camiones y subcontratistas para cumplir con los objetivos de producción.
  • Interpretar planos del proyecto, especificaciones, estacas de nivelación e información de topografía.

Calificaciones
  • Mínimo 5 años de experiencia en construcción civil pesada como capataz.

  • Experiencia en manejo de cuadrillas y operación de equipo pesado.

  • Licencia de conducir válida requerida.
  • Certificación OSHA de 10 horas en construcción preferida.
  • Certificación en RCP/Primeros Auxilios preferida.

The Foreman ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, schedules, and quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily earthwork and grading operations.
  • Direct operators, laborers, truck drivers, and subcontractors to achieve production goals.
  • Interpret project plans, specifications, grade stakes, and survey information.
  • Coordinate excavation, embankment, grading, stabilization, and utility installation activities.
  • Monitor elevations, slopes, drainage patterns, and grade tolerances.
  • Schedule labor, equipment, and materials to support project objectives.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts, utility issues, and production challenges.
  • Coordinate with project management, survey crews, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor productivity and maintain daily production reports.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental requirements, erosion control measures, and permit conditions.
  • Verify completed work meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist with project planning, sequencing, and scheduling activities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of heavy civil construction experience as a Foreman.
  • Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utility installation, and earthwork operations.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
