At FRE Civil Contractors, we take pride in delivering high-quality commercial earthwork and civil construction projects across Colorado.

We are looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators who understand production, respect others, and take ownership of their work.

What You'll Do

  • Operate excavators, dozers (including finish work), loaders, skid steers, motor graders, and compaction equipment
  • Perform rough and finish grading, trenching, excavation, and material movement
  • Read and understand plans, grade stakes, and site layout
  • Operate GPS/3D grade control systems (Trimble, Topcon, or similar preferred)
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Maintain production goals without compromising safety or quality
  • Communicate clearly with foremen and crew members
  • Keep equipment clean and job sites organized

What We're Looking For

  • 2–3+ years of experience in commercial earthwork or civil construction
  • Strong understanding of grade and site layout
  • GPS grade control experience a plus
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Willingness to work overtime as projects demand
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
