We are seeking a Diesel Fleet Mechanic to support our North Mankato operations. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing company-owned fleet vehicles and equipment in a clean, organized, and safety-focused environment.

This position is ideal for a technician who values quality workmanship, preventative maintenance, and pride of ownership, and who is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with consistent hours and strong support.


To support this opportunity, we are currently offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates who join our team.

“A day in the life of a Fleet Maintenance Technician looks like:”

  • Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in heavy diesel equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company-owned equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, warehouse equipment, pallet wrappers, conveyors, air compressors, and more, ensuring all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates safely.
  • Track, schedule, and complete manufacturer recalls and required repairs.
  • Document maintenance and repair work accurately in detailed service reports.
  • Provide monthly reports detailing labor and repair costs associated with company-owned equipment.
  • Make recommendations for vehicle and equipment replacement or upgrades
  • Assist with auto collision insurance claims involving company-owned vehicles
  • Communicate repair needs and parts requirements to the Service Manager
  • Comply with all safety standards and procedures
  • Stay current with industry developments and continuously build skills and knowledge


What does it take to be a Diesel Fleet Mechanic?

· Possess a High School Diploma/GED

· Formal technical education or vocational training in heavy diesel mechanics is preferred.

· Proven experience as a heavy diesel mechanic with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

· Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.

· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

· Solid welding and fabrication skills

· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

· Possess Class A CDL or the ability to obtain a Class A CDL.
