Position Summary
Manages and controls all Government- and Customer-owned property within AAC. Responsible for direct management of the Government Property Administration staff engaged in all activities associated with the control of government property assigned to the company.
Responsibilities:
  • Manages and controls all Government- and Customer-owned property within AAC to ensure continual accountability of the company
  • Responsible for creating and implementing a formal process for Government Property Administration
  • Performs incoming processing for U.S. Government- and Customer-owned property per ISO procedures
  • Administers and analyzes property control program activities utilizing asset business systems to ensure continual accountability of company, government, or associate contractor, property and assets in accordance with applicable corporate policy
  • Maintains property accountability records and determines condition and arranges disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment
  • Responsible for the accuracy and ensuring that all U.S. Government- and Customer-owned Property is put into the correct tracking system and files all incoming documentation
  • Maintains control of Government and Customer Property in their selective electronic systems, such as Air Force and Army CAV's system and Lockheed Martin's ADIS system
  • Maintains accountability records for requisitioned parts and ensures that they are only used for the appropriate program for which they were in support of. Inputs all transactions in the appropriate tracking system and reports any anomalies
  • Responsible for administering the Government Stores Area, keeping it secure and maintaining records of where all parts are located
  • Primary POC for all Government Property related issues with DCMA
  • Prepares and supports quarterly DCMA review of Government Property
  • Conducts internal and external property audits, develops, recommends, and implements property administration policies for financial and operation purposes
  • Responsible for all Inventories and Audits. This includes any DCMA audit or requests yearly. Schedules sampling inventories throughout the year and reports results to DCMA and all Program Customers as completed
  • Interacts frequently with internal personnel and outside representatives at various levels. Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives.
  • Interaction typically concerns resolution of operational and scheduling issues
  • Interprets and administers policies, processes, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate work units
  • Responsible for all U.S. Government shippers and verifies that they have the correct authority for shipment as well as confirmation from all parties included
  • Partners with our Contracts department in closing out any Government Contract by supplying them with the information needed so property can be transferred or dispositioned correctly
  • Manages the control of all Scrap and Excess Inventory being put into the Government Plant Clearance Automated Reutilizations Screening System (PCARSS), which is a government requirement
  • Responsible for ensuring all instructions from the Plant Clearance Officer are followed for the disposition process. This will include doing the demolitions of Munitions parts (dis-assembly)
  • Prepares all reports upon request by the Government, Customer or AAC personal
  • Supports, communicates and defends the mission, values and culture of the company
  • Conducts internal audits to ensure ability to pass Government and company audits
  • Ensure the receipt and storage of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and supplies.
  • Coordinate the transfer of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and/or supplies between/among warehouses.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.

Secondary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing the Production Storeroom / Shipping / Receiving areas on a monthly basis
  • May review statements, records and reports compiled by lower level personnel
  • Has responsibility for interface and negotiations with subcontractors and ensures compliance with all regulations regarding government property
  • Responsible for the employment, performance evaluation, training, counseling, and discipline for the assigned employees

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be familiar with Government reporting
  • Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from management or the Government
  • Expert skills with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • May be required to operate forklift

Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting (up to 30 lbs.): up to 25% of time
  • Walking: up to 25% of time
  • Climbing, Bending, Standing, Stooping: up to 10% of time
  • Sitting: up to 75% of time
  • Travel: up to 10% of time
