Job description

This is a hybrid position requiring in office support 2 to 3 days/week.

Our team is looking for a government contracts professional to support our Electronic Systems business area.

The Senior Contracts Analyst provides cradle to grave contract management of a portfolio of U.S. Government prime and subcontracts with various customers.
The role provides the opportunity to support proposal development and to administer contracts throughout the contract lifecycle while ensuring adherence to internal policy and compliance with regulations.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the contract administration team, who is compliance-oriented, experienced in the identification and mitigation of risk, adept at relationship building and highly organized.
Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Proposal support including Solicitation review, active participation in gate reviews, basis of estimate (BOE) development, and authoring of proposal conditions and assumptions
  • Proposal submission and negotiation including compliance with Truthful Cost or Pricing requirements
  • Contract review, redlining, and negotiation
  • Ability to serve as the primary point of contact on large research to production and/or production contracts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers regarding contract matters
  • Maintain contract files per internal guidelines
  • Support and collaborate with internal stakeholders to proactively anticipate business needs and develop sound recommendations for compliant solutions
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior Contracts Administrators
  • Support other special projects and/or represent the department on cross-functional teams, as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of DoD contracting experience in a research and development environment, with both cost reimbursement and fixed priced contract types
  • Experience managing business to business contracts such as in a subcontractor to prime contractor, including negotiation of terms
  • Expertise in full contract lifecycle management including proposal support, negotiation, contract administration and closeout
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate correspondence. A writing sample may be required as part of the application process.
  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of the FAR and DFARS
  • Strong critical thinking, communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence positive business outcomes
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills necessary for working in a cross functional, team environment and ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to identify risk and develop mitigation recommendations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook, as well as Customer’s Portals (PIEE, Exostar) and ERP Applications
  • DoD Secret clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems
  • MBA, Juris Doctor or other advanced degree
  • DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Professional Certifications (e.g. CFCM, CPCM, etc)


Location: This role is hybrid (a combination of in-office and work-from-home) from our Cambridge, MA. office.  Alternatively, this role can also be based out of Reston, VA.
