Job description

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is seeking a Data Governance & Quality Specialist to lead enterprise-wide data quality, stewardship, governance, and integrity initiatives. This role will serve as the association's primary advocate for accurate, consistent, secure, and trustworthy data across business systems, membership platforms including Salesforce, financial systems, program management applications, and reporting environments.

The Data Governance & Quality Specialist will partner with business leaders throughout the association to establish data standards, assist with defining and documenting business processes, improve reporting accuracy, drive user accountability, and support strategic decision-making through trusted data.

This position combines technical, analytical, and business process responsibilities and requires strong collaboration across multiple departments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Data Governance

Develop and maintain enterprise data governance standards and policies

Establish data ownership and stewardship responsibilities across departments

Create and maintain business data definitions and data dictionaries

Lead governance discussions and governance meetings

Assist departments in adopting data quality best practices

Data Quality and Integrity

Monitor data quality metrics and identify trends

Perform regular audits of constituent, membership, donor, employee, and program data

Develop processes to identify and resolve duplicate records

Create data cleansing and remediation plans

Investigate root causes of recurring data quality issues

Salesforce and Business Systems Support

Partner with Salesforce and Daxko Core administrators and business stakeholders to improve data integrity

Assist with field governance, validation rules, workflows, and quality controls

Support integration quality between Salesforce and other systems

Participate in testing and validation of system enhancements

Reporting and Analytics

Develop data quality dashboards and scorecards

Monitor key performance indicators for data accuracy, completeness, and consistency

Provide executive-level reporting on governance initiatives and progress

Training and Change Management

Deliver training on data standards and governance practices

Create documentation and user guidance

Promote a culture of data accountability across the association
