Job description

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, Peregrine helps public safety organizations, state and local and governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions address societyโ€™s challenges with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Our AI-enabled platform turns siloed and disconnected data into operational intelligence โ€” instantly surfacing mission-critical information to empower better, faster decisions that improve outcomes at every touchpoint. Today Peregrine supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving more than 125 million people โ€” and weโ€™re amplifying our impact as we expand into the enterprise and internationally.

The Role

We're hiring a Public Sector Compliance Manager to manage Peregrine's public sector compliance function as we grow in the U.S. market. This is a critical, highly crossโ€‘functional role for a detailโ€‘oriented operator who understands how compliance programs work in practice โ€” not just on paper. You will be the company's owner for Peregrineโ€™s public sector contractor obligations, building and running the systems, processes, and relationships that keep Peregrine compliant with its obligations as a government contractor. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational discipline and project management skills, as well as the ability to coordinate across multiple crossโ€‘functional teams, including Legal, People Operations, Finance, Contracts, and GRC.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Compliance Program Management
  • Own our public sector compliance program โ€” audits, FAR reps & certs, SAM.gov registrations, and contractโ€‘level obligations tracking across all active contracts
  • Proactively spot compliance gaps and partner with Legal and Contracts on remediation and new contract onboarding
  • Run our compliance training program endโ€‘toโ€‘end, from delivery to auditable recordkeeping
  • Facility Clearance & Personnel Security
  • Serve as our primary point of contact with DCSA to establish and maintain Peregrine's facility clearance (FCL)
  • Manage the full personnel clearance lifecycle โ€” investigations, determinations, reinvestigations, and records โ€” partnering with People Ops on clearedโ€‘employee onboarding/offboarding
  • Ethics & Conflicts of Interest
  • Administer our ethics hotline, case tracking, and reporting to Legal and leadership
  • Run our conflict of interest disclosure process and political contribution logging under FAR ethics requirements
  • Support upkeep of our Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Compliance
  • Lead preโ€‘award due diligence on subcontractors and vendors, including debarment/exclusion checks
  • Maintain vendor compliance records and partner with Procurement on FAR/DFARS flowโ€‘down clauses
What We Look For
  • 5+ years of experience in public sector compliance, contract administration, or a closely related field โ€” you have seen the full compliance lifecycle and know where the landmines are
  • Deep working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFARS, including representations and certifications, mandatory disclosure rules, and clause flowโ€‘down requirements
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with SAM.gov registration and maintenance, CAGE codes, and entity validation processes
  • Experience managing facility clearances (FCL) and/or personnel security clearances in a government contractor environment; familiarity with DCSA/DSS processes preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build and operate compliance tracking systems and comfort owning a compliance calendar, managing obligation logs, and driving crossโ€‘functional accountability without being the most senior person in the room
  • Experience administering ethics and compliance programs, including hotline intake, training programs, and COI processes
  • Excellent project management skills with a high degree of ownership; you can manage multiple concurrent workstreams across different stakeholder groups without dropping the ball
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for crossโ€‘functional stakeholders
  • A natural collaborator who builds trusted relationships across Legal, People Ops, Finance, GRC, and Contracts; your ability to work crossโ€‘functionally is central to your success in this role
  • JD or other legal training is not required and is not a substitute for operational compliance experience
  • Located in San Francisco and open to working in our office 4x/week

Salary Range: $140,000 โ€“ $175,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
