Accounts Payable Clerk
Join the Open Door Mission's team of dedicated staff who are committed to full-time Christian ministry and breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty!
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Accounts Payable Clerk provides accounting/bookkeeping support for Chief Financial Officer in the areas of accounts payable and other financial areas as needed. Provides support/reports for other departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A full job description will be provided for review during the interview process.
  • Responsible for accurately entering purchase orders into the accounting system.
  • Maintain processed check requests and all other accounts payable/purchase order filing.
  • Monitor bank accounts to ensure checks have cleared and to monitor available cash balance.
  • Reconcile vendor statements with invoices and communicate with vendors about statements.
  • Exemplify Jesus Christ daily, sharing the gospel or praying with others as opportunities arise.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two or more years of Accounts Payable (all aspects) experience
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE...
  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • A visible, growing, and committed relationship with Christ, based on knowledge of scripture and life experience.
  • Consistent attendance at and involvement with a local Christian church.
