Job description

Job Summary:
The Energy Auditor ensures Weatherization projects meet all Utah Weatherization Guidelines through documentation management, visual inspections, health, safety, and diagnostic testing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities-
Participates in client intake, production, and energy audit documentation review.
Conducts in-progress inspections to help minimize discrepancies during the final quality control inspection.
Conducts field inspections on all projects to verify the accuracy of labor and materials invested into Weatherization projects.
Inputs all corresponding labor, invoices, and material into the work orders of the NEAT program.
Records discrepancies in the central MAG WAP Report to highlight training opportunities found during desk and field inspections.
Communicates with clients to resolve issues, answer any questions, and provide client education on newly installed equipment.
Ensures the final costs associated with Weatherization projects do not exceed the total amounts justified by the Energy Audit.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of building regulations and codes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Google Suite. Requires considerable knowledge of Google Workspace, and a willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve, and anticipate department needs
  • Must be patient and flexible with the ability to take on multiple projects at once
  • The ability to obtain and maintain professional certification

Working Conditions:
This job operates on-site and is often in cramped or confined spaces. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Frequent travel will be required in this position. This is a salaried position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires sitting, standing, walking, and crawling for long periods of time. The individual must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
