Principal Project Manager, Site Consultant

Role Summary

As a Principal Associate Project Manager, specifically a Site Consultant, you will be crucial in driving the strategy and execution of high-priority initiatives. You will work alongside dedicated professionals to deliver impactful results directly influencing the company's profitability. From day one, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to manage multiple complex programs that are essential to realizing the Retail Bank's strategy.

Key Site Consultant Responsibilities:

Site Consultants manage Branch and Cafe activities related to optimizing the branch network, including new site openings, relocations, and consolidations. This role serves as the central point of contact for leadership by:

  • Coordinating communication among partners

  • Managing event timelines

  • Ensuring full operational readiness

  • Monitoring both associate morale and customer responses throughout the process

General Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Lead moderate to large, complex projects and programs, offering strategic guidance to the project team and peers

  • Design, develop, and actively manage project plans in dynamic environments, adapting them to meet changing requirements

  • Ensure thorough project documentation to mitigate risk and guarantee timely delivery

  • Utilize strong problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans achieve their intended goals

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with project customers, providing both strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure commitment delivery

  • Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively champion project and program efforts

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, including the ability to quickly establish structure for work in complex, dynamic settings

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 2 years of project management experience

  • At least 2 years experience utilizing Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) products such as Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience

  • 3+ years of project management experience

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) products such as Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc.

  • Ability to understand the role that social and content plays in the broader marketing mix

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Project Manager


Richmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Project Manager


Wilmington, DE: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Project Manager









Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
