Job description

Wolters Kluwer DXG U.S., Inc. seeks Architect - Application/Product IV in Riverwoods, IL.

Job Description:

  • Design and implement performance solutions that optimize system architecture for scalability, reliability, and efficiency;
  • Develop and utilize performance models to analyze system behavior, scalability risks and predict performance outcomes under various conditions;
  • Work with engineering teams to optimize and characterize new components, functions, and architectures to enhance overall system performance;
  • Continuously monitor system performance and lead triage efforts when performance or availability issues arise;
  • Establish and evangelize best practices for performance optimization, including cloud-related optimizations and reliability improvements;
  • Provide guidance on architecture choices based on performance results and analysis, ensuring that the system meets non-functional requirements; and
  • Communicate performance strategies with colleagues and management.

Telecommuting permitted.

Education + Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field plus 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Performance Test Engineer, IT Architect, or related occupation.

Skill Set Requirements:

7 years of experience in the following skills:

- Systems architecture design;

- Performance testing;

- Apache, JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling;

- Multithreading, caching, and algorithm design;

- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform;

- Data Analysis;

- Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks; and

- Setting up benchmarks, interpreting data, and reporting findings.

Telecommuting permitted. 40 hours/week. $117,957 to $191,000 per year.

Compensation:

$118,300.00 - $207,400.00 USD

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
