Job description

Electronic Test Technician

In this role you will test and process Cobalt Digital products prior to shipment to customers. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing. Cobalt Digital offers group health insurance, a 401(k) with matching contributions, and a generous company holiday schedule.

A typical day in Cobalt's test department will include processing untested products as they arrive from our factories. The work is in a fast-paced environment and shifting priorities can be expected depending on customer, engineering, and sales requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Experience reading and interpreting test procedures, schematics and engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and test signal generator monitors and analyzers
  • Have an understanding of electronic circuit theory and design
  • Ability to troubleshoot printed circuit board assemblies to the component level
  • Soldering skills and ability to do precision work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Communicate and describe unexpected issues to supervisors and/or engineering as they arise
  • Additional training would be given as required
  • Have a positive and energetic attitude and enjoy a challenging and rewarding environment
