Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a Tableau Developer on contract to build and maintain analytics-ready data assets and Tableau content on our Snowflake and Google Cloud data platforms. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence: you will write production SQL, model data for reporting, and deliver curated datasets and semantic-ready tables/views that power reliable dashboards and self-service analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Tableau workbooks, dashboards, and published data sources aligned to business requirements
  • Write strong, performant SQL in Snowflake and BigQuery
  • Design and document curated datasets, semantic layers, and reporting-ready tables/views for analytics and BI consumption
  • Perform data modeling to support accurate metrics, joins, grain, and reusable dimensions/facts
  • Conduct data analysis to validate logic, reconcile results, and support stakeholder questions
  • Work within the Google Cloud ecosystem (BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform data services, and related Google analytics/reporting tools)
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business partners on requirements, definitions, and delivery timelines
  • Use Git for version control of SQL, documentation, and related analytics assets
  • Apply Python for automation, data validation, or supporting analytics workflows as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Early to mid-career experience in BI development, analytics engineering, or a similar data-focused role
  • Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in Snowflake and BigQuery
  • Strong Tableau experience building dashboards and connecting to warehouse data sources
  • Solid data analysis background โ€” exploratory analysis, metric definition, and QA of reported numbers
  • Data modeling experience (dimensional modeling, semantic/reporting layers, grain and key design)
  • Experience designing curated, semantic-ready datasets (tables/views) for BI and downstream consumers
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud data and analytics tooling (BigQuery and related Google Cloud Platform/Google apps)
  • Proficiency with Git for collaborative development
  • Working knowledge of Python for data or analytics tasks
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • Tableau Server/Cloud administration (permissions, publishing, schedules, performance tuning)
  • Experience with Qlik or other BI platforms
  • Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation workflows on Snowflake/BigQuery
  • Experience integrating Tableau with Google Cloud services or Google workspace/reporting tools
  • Enterprise analytics experience across multi-cloud or hybrid Snowflake + Google Cloud Platform environments
Success Profile

The ideal candidate combines warehouse SQL depth with Tableau delivery skills. They are comfortable working across Snowflake and Google BigQuery, can model data for reporting in both environments, and deliver trusted Tableau content on top of curated warehouse layers โ€” with Git-backed workflows and Python where automation helps.
