Job description

Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.
As a key member of the Eversource Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Team, the AMI Data Intelligence Lead serves as the lead analyst for time critical and project-related AMI meter data intelligence within the Meter Data Center of Excellence (MDCoE). This role is responsible for developing analytical techniques and delivering accurate, trusted AMI reporting and insights that support projects, leadership decision making, regulatory responses, and escalations related to emergent issues across the AMI landscape.
The AMI Data Intelligence Lead acts as a central point of accountability for complex AMI reporting and analysis, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and clarity across high visibility deliverables. This role focuses on the most complex, sensitive, and time critical AMI data needs, providing confidence in the information used for internal leadership discussions, external reporting, and regulatory engagement.
This role also includes formal supervisory responsibility, providing direct oversight, mentorship, and direction to assigned resources while serving as a central point of guidance for the broader team to navigate complex and high-impact AMI data challenges.
Essential Functions:
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for project-related and time-sensitive AMI reporting including escalations, emergent issues, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Lead the development, validation, and delivery of complex AMI reports, dashboards, and analyses that require deep understanding of AMI data, systems, and cross-system dependencies.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all high-visibility AMI reporting by proactively identifying data risks, anomalies, and discrepancies and driving resolution.
  • Partner closely with AMI program teams, analytics resources, IT, and business stakeholders to synthesize complex technical data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on AMI data sources, metrics, and definitions, ensuring consistent interpretation and use across reporting outputs.
  • Review and validate analytically complex or sensitive AMI deliverables prior to broader distribution to ensure correctness and clarity.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of AMI reporting standards, definitions, and data governance practices within the MDCoE.
  • Provide direct supervision of assigned resources, including prioritization of work, performance management, and development planning.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide team members on complex analytical and reporting tasks, ensuring quality and consistency of deliverables.
  • Serve as a key resource to the broader team, supporting navigation of complex, high-impact AMI data challenges.
  • Maintain strong awareness of AMI system changes, enhancements, and operational impacts that may affect reporting or data interpretation.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of AMI systems, data flows, and downstream impacts.
  • Advanced analytical, reporting, and data validation skills.
  • Ability to assess and interpret complex datasets under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical data into business insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across functional and organizational boundaries.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with automation tools and techniques (e.g., RPA, scripting, workflow automation).
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics, data modeling, or AI-supported analytical capabilities.
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting, incident response, or high-visibility leadership deliverables.
  • Ability to present complex data insights to executive or senior leadership audiences.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Technology, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience:
  • Five plus years of related experience.
  • Electric utility and AMI experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting, incident response, or high-visibility leadership reporting preferred.
