Job Title:

Project Manager

The role's general purpose is:

By cultivating and nurturing partnerships, the Project Manager drives Yellow Umbrella's growth strategy. As part of this role, you will manage relationships, develop funds, and work closely with leadership. You will also develop strategies for expanding Yellow Umbrella's reach to new people, and communities. Reporting to the CEO.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop new client relationships and foster existing partnerships to accelerate long-term engagement.

· Develop creative approaches and strategic business/government/philanthropic partnerships to increase Yellow Umbrella's service to people, families, and communities.

· With the CEO, develop and support growth strategies.

· Adhere to all policies and protocols outlined in the Employee Policies and Procedures Manual and other departmental and Foundation-wide communications.

· Act professionally in all situations with clients and colleagues.

· Perform other duties, as necessary or assigned.

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree.

· 2-5 years of related experience and demonstrated success in project management.

· Documented success in personally implementing sophisticated, multi-year cultivation strategies that use relationship-building and moves management approach leading to successful client invoice closure.

· Ability to initiate and build relationships with prospective individual clients and interact via telephone, in-person, and online.

Technology:

· Ability to use Microsoft Word/Google Docs in the creation, editing, and review of documents including formatting text and tables, embedding graphics, and using tracking modes.

· Ability to use Microsoft Excel/ Google Sheets in the creation and use of spreadsheets including sorting and filtering data, using basic formulas, and creating graphs.

· Ability to use Microsoft Outlook/ Gmail for sending and receiving emails, maintaining a work calendar, and scheduling appointments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Strong collaboration and influence skills, demonstrating an ability to navigate relationships, incorporate differing perspectives, develop recommendations, and generate consensus with partners.

· Excellent people and project management skills, including a detail-oriented attitude with excellent follow-through skills.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills. Spanish is a plus.

· Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

· Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.

· Strong and creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic planning skills, including the ability to disaggregate problems and structure complex issues.

Working Conditions:

Work is normally performed in hybrid between in person and at home.
