Enterprise Payments Manager, Strategic Intent & Change Management - Hybrid

Role

As a Program Manager for the Enterprise Payments Program Management Office (PMO), you will manage the Strategic Intent and Change Management function. This function is responsible for driving the successful execution of our highest-priority initiatives though managing the prioritization, planning, and reporting of these initiatives.

A key part of this role is collaborating closely with business leaders to develop and track against strategic prioritization and planning frameworks. Furthermore, you will oversee the change management process to ensure operational readiness and to mitigate risk impacts associated with delivering strategic intent.

To excel, you must be a versatile, creative, analytical, and technically proficient problem-solver with a strong understanding of the business landscape. You will have a significant opportunity to engage with key leaders and stakeholders during the planning and prioritization of critical enterprise payments initiatives.

General Responsibilities

  • Execute planning and prioritization processes for key leaders and stakeholders that are efficient, thorough, and comprehensive across the Enterprise Payments Organization

  • Lead a high performing team of project and process managers to deliver business critical strategic and cross-functional initiatives and processes for the Enterprise Payments organization

  • Drive the execution of resource capacity planning exercises for Enterprise Payments in close collaboration with key business partners

  • Manage large scale change management processes to ensure operational readiness and mitigate organizational risk

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills; this role requires the ability to convey plans, points of view and tradeoffs both in writing and orally

  • Manage a large group of stakeholders that includes product, technology, operations, risk, compliance and strategy

  • Responsible for tracking of organizational priorities against our KPIs/OKRs, and ensuring progress against our plan is tracked accurately and efficiently, applying strong judgment around escalation of issue requiring attention

  • Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to drive complex planning strategies while providing strategic direction to key partners

  • Own reporting and escalations structure including inputs to MBRs, risk forums, portfolio reviews, and newsletters

  • Leveraging AI capabilities to create process efficiencies

  • Successful track record of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; previous consulting experience is a plus

Location: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office and the remainder of the week working virtually.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification

  • At least 3 Years of project management, product management or program management experience

  • At least 3 years of people leadership experience

  • At least 3 years managing stakeholders across business functions

  • At least 2 years of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or Military Experience

  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

  • At least 5 years in people leadership experience

  • At least 8 years of project or program management experience

  • At least 3 years of banking payments experience

  • At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal and external stakeholders

  • At least 2 years of product or tech experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
