Job description

Terms of Employment
This is a 9 month position for 7.5 hours/day. This position is eligible for benefits. 
Purpose
Assist staff members in food preparation, serving and cleaning. Work with the Assistant Director on proper ordering and distribution of commodity foods and items from our main vendors. Intake of deliveries, assuring all items are received and in good condition. Organization of stock room, freezer and cooler, using the FIFO method. Operation, upkeep and driving of the Food Service box truck to deliver inventory safely to other SACS cafeterias. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Food Services.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to safely operate school food service equipment in area of responsibility. Good oral and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to get along with others in a team situation. Must have knowledge of most areas of the kitchen, dish room and serving lines. Previous food preparation experience in a restaurant or cafeteria setting desirable. Must have math and computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, Google Docs and Google Slides.
