Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing hardware system engineering.
  • Experience across all phases of hardware product development from prototype to mass production.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with consumer electronics and shipping products.
  • Knowledge of product life cycle, tools, processes and development planning.
  • Ability to travel internationally 20% or more of the time.

Responsibilities
  • Define, drive, and own the system development process from concept to launch for new Google hardware (HW) products while balancing schedule, cost, performance, and user experience trade-offs.
  • Work with original design manufacturers (ODMs) and vendors in manufacturing environments on product development schedules, dependencies, and budgets.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate focus points and next steps with engineering, vendors, operations, quality, and management, improving and maintaining processes that ensure team members have what they need to understand and execute on objectives.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution among a cross-functional team of engineers.
  • Synthesize data into a story and communicate to stakeholders and organizations at levels.
