Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Golf Course Mechanic to join our turf maintenance team at Glenview Golf Course. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance, repair, and sharpening of a wide range of turf equipment, including greens mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and specialized reel units. A strong emphasis is placed on reel maintenance and precision sharpening to ensure consistent, high-quality cuts across our greens, tees, and fairways.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with reel grinding (both spin and relief grinding), bedknife sharpening, and adjusting mowers for optimal height-of-cut and quality-of-cut standards. You will perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues, and maintain accurate service records while working closely with the superintendent and assistant superintendents to support daily course setup.

Reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering pristine playing conditions through exceptional equipment performance are essential.

Prior experience in golf course maintenance or small engine repair is preferred, along with the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and in varying weather conditions.
