SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Golf Course Maintenance I positions work as part of the Turfgrass Management team in maintaining all areas of the golf course. As part of this team employees will be required to display strong work ethic and diligence in completing assigned tasks. Daily activities will vary depending on course needs, schedule of events, and weather conditions. Typical schedules will include early mornings and some weekend/holiday hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain golf course by mowing, trimming, blowing debris, bunker maintenance and other special tasks.
  • General cleaning in and around maintenance and clubhouse buildings.
  • Participate in course setup for daily play including hold changing and tee marker placement.
  • Assist with tree maintenance and irrigation repairs.
  • Irrigate areas of the golf course as directed.
  • Operate equipment in mowing of greens, tees, approaches, fairways, rough and other areas as assigned.
  • Ensure a pleasant experience of all guests by maintaining effective customer relations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 18 years age by start of position.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, twist, lift heavy items and grip.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Golf course, lawn care or landscaping experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Seasonal position, April/May - September/October 2026. 30 - 35 hours a week. Early mornings and some weekend/holiday hours.
Offer of employment will be contingent on successful background check.
