Job Summary The part-time Server position at River Oaks Golf Course will provide excellent customer service, and presentation of food and beverages in the clubhouse, events center and golf course area. In addition to their hourly rate, employees will also be eligible for tips. Essential Job Functions Responsible for coordinating the entire food service station and communicating with the front and back of house personnel to provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations Process guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and in a timely manner Ensure that patrons are satisfied with the food and the service Process guest checks, accept payment and make change Accountable for cash and guest check charges Assist with stocking of food and beverage supplies Assist with food and beverage preparation Maintain knowledge of menu and food preparation practices Perform all set-up and cleaning of front of house Perform various duties as assigned by management Minimum Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age for service of intoxicating liquor Experience in food and beverage service Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service Knowledge of laws concerning the service and use of intoxicating liquor Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have outstanding customer service skills Must possess basic math skills Must have the ability to operate cash register and handle money and charges Must present a professional image Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials, employees and the public.
