Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to guests and members throughout the golf course.
  • Safely operate a beverage cart along designated golf course paths and service areas.
  • Maintain knowledge of available food and beverage selections, pricing, specials, and resort offerings.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Follow responsible alcohol service practices, including verifying identification when required.
  • Anticipate guest needs and offer additional beverages, snacks, or refreshments throughout their round.
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, member charges, and other approved forms of payment.
  • Properly complete receipts and obtain guest signatures when required.
  • Stock and restock the beverage cart with beverages, food, ice, cups, napkins, and other necessary supplies.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and accurately track products taken, sold, and returned during each shift.
  • Keep the beverage cart clean, organized, fueled or charged, and ready for service.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures, including properly storing the beverage cart at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor the beverage cart for maintenance or safety concerns and promptly report any issues to a supervisor.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, cash-handling, and resort policies and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of golfers and course activity to provide service without unnecessarily interrupting play.
  • Assist with additional golf or food and beverage responsibilities as needed to support the overall guest experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills with a friendly and approachable personality.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining connected and responsive to the golf and food and beverage teams.
  • Ability to accurately handle cash and process guest transactions.
  • Comfortable driving and operating a beverage cart safely in varying outdoor and course conditions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain professional during busy periods.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently reach, bend, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, sun, wind, and light rain.
  • Must be available to work a flexible resort schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous customer service, serving, bartending, golf, or hospitality experience is preferred.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous food and beverage or customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and responsible alcohol service preferred.
  • Previous experience in a golf course, resort, restaurant, or hospitality environment is a plus.
