Description
JOB PURPOSE: Performs a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance, mainly semi-skilled ground construction and maintenance work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Operates powered mowing equipment in the maintenance of the mowing golf course putting greens, aprons, bunker raking, tee, fairways, and rough hard areas. Operates blowers, string trimmers, also uses rakes, garden tools, and shovels.
  • Fills divots with sand on tees and the fairways.
  • Edges bunkers and cart paths.
  • May help with spraying herbicides or insecticides on golf course areas such as bunkers, fairways, tees, greens, and clubhouse.
  • Helps with trimming trees, bushes and helps haul the debris away.
  • Cleans the shop, restrooms, and lunchroom.
  • Assist with construction projects requiring manual labor.
  • Cleans all equipment used for the day, refills fuel in all equipment, cleans and replaces all tools used to the proper storage location.
  • Informs mechanic or superintendent on any equipment issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by the superintendent or mechanic

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid Driver's License

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • No experience required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Standing/Walking/Bending, 100%
  • Lifting/Carrying up to 50lbs
  • Exposure to various weather conditions, hot, cold, windy, and dusty.
