Reports To: Golf Course Superintendent

Position Type: Seasonal (weather dependent; typically April through October)

Schedule / Hours: Typically 6:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Monday–Friday; occasional weekend shifts 

POSITION OVERVIEW

Riverside Country Club is seeking a seasonal Golf Course Groundskeeper to help our golf course deliver the exceptional playing conditions our members and guests are known for. As a valued member of our grounds maintenance team, you will help keep our greens rolling smoothly and our fairways tight. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their craft, and is interested in a career in turfgrass management. Employees are also allowed to use all club facilities, including the golf course, when space is available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain golf course playing surfaces, including greens, fairways, tees, and rough, to club standards.

  • Mow and rake golf course areas to ensure optimal playing conditions.

  • Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and responsibly.

  • Assist with special turf and grounds projects as needed.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, club policies, and equipment care procedures.

  • Work independently and as part of a close-knit grounds crew.

  • Interact courteously and professionally with members, guests, and fellow staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 17 years of age preferred.

  • Reliable transportation required.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Knowledge of the game of golf preferred.

  • Customer service and hospitality skills.

  • Interest in turfgrass management or the golf industry a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
