Golf Course Groundskeeper

Full-time Golf Course Groundskeeper

Full-Time (AM shift 6am-3pm OVERTIME option Guaranteed)

Compensation: Starting at $18 PER HOUR

Established in 1920, Brook Hollow Golf Club enjoys a strong reputation as one of Dallas' most historic and exclusive private clubs. World-class facilities including a fully renovated golf course that was completed in 2020, a sports complex for tennis, pickleball, wellness and swimming, and a famed ballroom in which are presented some of Dallas' most memorable and fashionable social events. During the past twenty years, Brook Hollow has renovated or replaced substantially all of its facilities.

Brook Hollow is adding full-time Golf Course Maintenance Labor to join our team. We are looking for persons who can perform any combination of outdoor duties (ground maintenance) to enhance the Club House overall appearance. Under supervision, performs physical labor, operator small powered equipment to maintain the Club Grounds and performs other duties as required by supervisor. In turn, this will increase the experience of our members and guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains golf course by mowing, trimming, top dressing, treating turf, maintenance of bunkers, hole changing, hedge trimming and general maintenance.
  • Assists in construction of new greens, tees, and fairways by grading, preparing soil and planting
  • Operates various types of golf course equipment.
  • Operates light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris
  • Trims trees, prunes shrubbery, and cultivates shrubs and flowers
  • Mowing with a variety of machines
  • Edging/trimming of grass
  • Some hedge and tree trimming
  • Participates in daily set up of the golf course for play.
  • Knowledge of Horticultural practices
  • At least 1 years Landscape experience
  • Light Chemical and Fertilizer applications during various seasons
  • Able to lift between 50-80 pounds without assistance
  • Work outside in all types of Climates
  • Highly Motivated Individual who can complete tasks in a timely manner
  • May perform other duties related to the job or areas as required by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year experience in Landscaping or Horticulture
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime if needed.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers when needed.
  • Must be courteous and respectful to all persons.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl and/or sit up to 8-10 hours per day.
  • Reach with hands and arms and use hands to fingers to handle, or feel objects, use tools and/or controls.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in English verbally and in writing with co-workers.
  • Have good vision or corrected vision and good hearing
  • Must be able to push or lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Independent mobility throughout the grounds and surrounding areas.
