Job description

Are you looking for a seasonal position this Spring/Summer? If you enjoy working outside, you may be a great addition to our Golf Course Maintenance team. Make a difference with the City of Hutchinson!
The Seasonal Golf Course Equipment Operator is responsible for assisting with mowing and maintenance of the golf course grounds. There are multiple work schedules and variations within this position.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
  • Performs mowing duties on fairways, greens, tee boxes, rough etc.
  • Operates course equipment including riding mowers, utility vehicles and other related equipment.
  • Occasionally removes trash and debris from the course.
  • Direct all questions and concerns to supervisor.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED FOR SUCCESS:
  • EDUCATION: No high school diploma or GED required
  • LICENSE: A valid Kansas driver's license is required
  • OTHER: 4-8 hours a day, flexible. Potential of 5:30 a.m. start time.

This is not a KPERS covered position. Will work less than 1,000 hours per year, and possibly much less, depending on schedule and area being mowed.
