Hope Valley Country Club, located in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for Cart Attendants. Founded in 1926, Hope Valley is an elite private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious, welcoming clubhouse offering its members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeastโ€™s most vibrant, exciting areas.

The Golf Cart Attendant supports daily golf operations and delivers an exceptional member and guest experience. This position plays a key role in maintaining the presentation of the golf operation, ensuring carts and practice facilities are clean, stocked, and ready for use.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Clean, wash, and detail golf carts to maintain club presentation standards
  • Stage and organize carts in preparation for daily play and events
  • Restock carts with required supplies (scorecards, pencils, towels, sand bottles, etc.)
  • Greet members and guests in a professional and friendly manner upon arrival
  • Assist members and guests by loading golf bags onto carts and ensuring proper setup
  • Provide basic directions and support to enhance the overall golf experience
  • Pick and collect range balls from the practice facility using appropriate equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cart barn, bag drop, and practice areas
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management
  • Support golf staff with tournament and event setup as needed

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to lift and carry golf bags (up to 40โ€“50 lbs)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks

Work Environment

  • Primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions
