If so, The Pfister is looking for a Sous Chef to join our team and continue its tradition of excellence.
As a Sous Chef at The Pfister Hotel, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to order and ensuring each dish meets our standards for quality, freshness, and presentation.

Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is one of only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA Four Diamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976.

What you will be doing:

* Supervise kitchen staff and daily operations.

* Prepare breakfast, lunch, and light dinner items while ensuring consistency and quality.

* Train and mentor cooks and prep staff to maintain standards.

* Assist with menu planning, daily specials, and seasonal items.

* Oversee ordering, receiving, and storage of food items.

* Ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained in the kitchen.

* Support hotel-wide culinary initiatives as needed.

Position Requirements:

* Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a cafe, casual dining, or hotel kitchen environment.

* Strong knowledge of breakfast and lunch service operations.

* Experience with menu planning, inventory, and cost control.

* ServeSafe certification preferred.

* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* Ability to work varied shifts including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
