Automotive Parts Manager – Melloy Chevrolet

Los Lunas, NM | Greater Albuquerque Area

Melloy Chevrolet is looking for an experienced Automotive Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department in Los Lunas.

We need someone who knows dealership Parts, can manage inventory and people, and understands how important a good Parts Department is to keeping technicians productive and customers happy.

Chevrolet or General Motors Parts experience is strongly preferred.

What We're Looking For

Our Parts Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the department, including:

  • Managing and developing the Parts team

  • Inventory control, stocking levels and inventory accuracy

  • Managing aging and obsolete inventory

  • Monitoring fill rate and inventory turns

  • Maintaining Parts gross and pricing

  • Managing special orders, returns and freight

  • Supporting technicians and reducing parts-related delays

  • Working closely with the Service Manager and Service Advisors

  • Maintaining GM Parts policies and procedures

  • Reviewing department performance and controlling expenses

We want someone who understands that the goal isn't to fill a warehouse with parts. It's to have the right parts available when our technicians and customers need them.

Qualifications

Previous automotive dealership Parts management experience is required. Chevrolet/GM experience is preferred.

You should have a strong understanding of dealership parts inventory, gross profit, obsolescence, technician support and day-to-day Parts operations. We're also looking for someone who can lead employees, solve problems and work well with Service.

Compensation

Melloy Chevrolet offers a competitive, performance-based compensation plan with:

  • Monthly base compensation

  • Parts gross compensation

  • Service gross compensation

  • Additional profitability bonus opportunity

  • No cap on profitability bonus opportunity

Specific compensation details will be discussed with qualified candidates.
