Job description

Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Systems Senior Engineer / Team Lead. This position will be located in Glynco, GA, and will be an onsite position with flexible telework options.

This role is part of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers’ (FLETC) Information Technology (IT) Delivery and Operations Support Services (DOSS) program providing the full range of IT services that support FLETC's mission. This work is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement operational server systems and prototypes according to engineering data and Government requirements
• Collaborate with Network and System Engineers, vendors, and other personnel to identify, define, and solve trending or developmental problems
• Communicate, coordinate and resolve technical issues with data center engineering on systems that are maintained at each data center location.
• Prioritize system outages, projects and tasks while providing technical assistance and resolution to team to ensure optimal system performance
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair systems infrastructure

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:
• At least five years of detailed technical experience in system engineering or related field within the last seven years
• Experience in prioritizing system outages, projects and tasks while providing technical assistance and resolution to team to ensure optimal system performance
• Experience designing and implementing operational server systems and prototypes according to engineering data and Government requirements
• Extensive knowledge of systems principles, protocols and design to evaluate and gain optimal performance
• Experience collaborating with Network and System Engineers, vendors, and other personnel to identify, define, and solve trending or developmental problems
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing systems infrastructure
• Experience with cloud engineering and migration strategies
• Experience communicating, coordinating and resolving technical issues with data center engineering on systems that are maintained at each data center location.
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must pass a Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience working with DHS and/or FLETC
• Experience leading a team
• No security clearance required; Secret Clearance Preferred

Posted Salary Range: USD $100,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
