The Department currently comprises over 70 faculty engaged in research, teaching, and practice, many of whom are jointly appointed in other schools within Bouvé and different colleges across the University.
About the Opportunity:
The Department of Public Health and Health Sciences, in Bouvé College at Northeastern University, is accepting applications for two full-time, non-tenure track 52-week appointment, teaching positions at the rank of Assistant, or Associate Teaching/Clinical Professor, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The searches are open in terms of the areas of expertise with preference for candidates with backgrounds in epidemiology, health policy, health communications and/or interest in teaching our introductory undergraduate courses in the United States Healthcare System and Community & Public Health. These courses cover topics including research study design, health literacy, rural health, healthcare organizations, mental health, population health, health promotion campaigns, and advocacy. Successful candidates may teach at the undergraduate and the graduate level. These courses also include an evaluation component. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated background of excellence in teaching. Successful faculty at Northeastern are dynamic and innovative scholars with a record of teaching, service, and research excellence and commitment to fostering a sense of belonging among all members of the Northeastern community. Thus, strong candidates for this faculty position will have the experience, knowledge, and skills to build their pedagogy, curricula, service, and research in ways that reflect and enhance this commitment. Northeastern also values experiential learning, which successful candidates will be able to incorporate in their courses.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and potentially, graduate courses and participating in departmental, college, and university service. Engagement in scholarship and continuing professional development is required. Qualified candidates must have expertise in, or demonstrated commitment to, working with students from varied backgrounds.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or DrPH or another terminal degree in public health, communication, epidemiology, or a related field. At least one year of prior undergraduate teaching experience is required.

Pay Range:
52-week salary ranges: Assistant Teaching Professor: $109,000.00 - $132,000.00 | Associate Teaching Professor: $125,000.00 - $156,000.00 | Assistant Clinical Professor: $114,000.00 - $147,000.00 | Associate Clinical Professor: $126,000.00 - $162,000.00
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
