About the Opportunity
Job Summary
The Global Compliance Program Manager drives efficient and timely execution of the ongoing global compliance workplan and related special projects. This position helps identify compliance priorities, offers practical and informed solutions, and supports creation and dissemination of best practices for compliance throughout the university worldwide. The role is on site at the Boston campus, reports to the Assistant Vice President for Compliance and is part of the Global Compliance Program team.
This position is responsible for hotline case management across the global university network, including intake triage, assignment, and follow-through to case closure, including coordination and documentation of cross-functional matters. The position also leads aggregated data collection, analysis, and reporting for investigations across the university's global network. Additional responsibilities include engaging in special reviews and providing investigation support, in coordination with the Asst VP for Compliance and the Office of the General Counsel.
This position also helps develop and deliver relevant and timely training, guidance and advice to other compliance functions within the global university network on the strategy, standards and management of their own programs within the global compliance framework, including leading and participating in virtual teams across the global university.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent and at least three years professional experience in compliance, human resources, internal audit, project management, regulatory, or a risk management function.
  • Experience conducting case management, administering hotline programs, and coordinating incident management programs.
  • Understanding of how to identify confidential and sensitive information and handle with tact and discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and experience researching and interpreting data. Ability to clearly present data to different audiences and for different purposes. Thorough data analysis skills, directly and through the use of AI, to identify trends, patterns and process/system issues.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner when faced with competing requests and tight deadlines.
  • Capable of exercising sound independent judgment with minimal direction and knows when to escalate issues or seek higher-level guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a highly collaborative cross-cultural environment with stakeholders that include leadership, faculty, administrators, staff, students, and third parties.
  • Ability to establish, develop and maintain solid professional relationships, both within the university and across the broader compliance community
  • Strong acumen with Office365, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Copilot and Claude.
  • Forward-thinking on the creative and responsible use of AI.
  • Experience with reporting hotline or incident management tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Compliance and Ethic Professional (CCEP) or similar certification.
  • Experience using EthicsPoint or another case management platform.
  • Experience using Tableau, PowerBI or similar a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Hotline Management: In consultation with the Assistant Vice President for Compliance and the Office of the General Counsel, manage triage, assignment, and case management of global hotline matters, special reviews, and investigations across the global network. Manage the overall administration of the university hotline, including system configurations, training and best practices, and data analytics/reporting. Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting on hotline matters. Coordinate global metrics and reporting across multiple functions with investigation responsibilities. Identify and recommend workflow and system improvements, ensuring documentation of updates to standards, processes, and operating procedures, as necessary.
Special Reviews and Investigations: Participate in cross-functional projects with key stakeholders, including Audit & Advisory Services, Human Resources, and Office of the General Counsel to coordinate (project manage), investigate, or review (quality check) various matters.
Special Projects: Projects will vary and may include cross-functional work with other compliance team members on areas such as conflict of interest, dealing with government or general outreach, training, and communication about the compliance portfolio, as needed.
